Beanstack: A Way to Record Your Reading Adventures
Once again we’re offering the online Beanstack system, so that participants in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten (ages infant-4) and the Children’s Summer Reading Log (ages 5-11) can record their reading to earn virtual badges and share their reading with a classroom teacher.
How to Get Started
- To establish an account on Beanstack, follow this link http://nevinslibrary.beanstack.org. You only need to register once for an account, then the system remembers you from year to year.
- Register your whole family under one log-in/password — an adult caregiver creates the account and then adds each child who is participating.
Tweens can create an individual account and independently record their reading.
How to Access Beanstack
- On your computer (PC), just go to http://nevinslibrary.beanstack.org. You’ll probably want to bookmark it for easy access all summer.
- On your phone, use the free Beanstack Tracker App for your iPhone/iOS device or your Android device — you can log your minutes on the app, and it even has a timer! (Click on the appropriate picture below to go the Beanstack app in that app store.)
