Adult Summer Reading

A beach ball, pair of red flip flops with sunglasses, pair of turquoise flip flops, pair of yellow flip flops, and a scuba face mask all stuck in the sand.

Children and teens have their fun and rewarding summer reading programs, so why not do one for adults too?

The start date this year is June 30th, with patrons being able to fill out their form with the title of a book they’re reading that week. Each week, a different gift card to a local eatery or establishment is then raffled off.

How does it work?
Patrons fill out their sheet, with a line for a title each week, until the final drawing on August 18th, with the title of a book they’ve been reading. They’ll also fill out a raffle ticket with their name and phone number, and the raffle tickets go into a box. At the beginning of the next week, the previous week’s winner is chosen and then contacted. Some of the prizes in the past summers have been gift cards to Mann Orchards, Market Basket, and Jay Gee’s Ice Cream & Fun Center. At the end of the summer, the Nevins Library will sometimes do a grand raffle for a big prize, like a Kindle.

Adults 18+ are permitted to enter into the Adult Summer Reading. In past summers, this program has been a hit! They are looking forward to another summer full of reading.

It’s so easy and fun!
