Summer Kickoff: Silent Disco – June 25 at 6:30pm (All ages)
Come kick off our summer season of special programs at this fun dance party! At a silent disco, you get to pick what music you listen to and, using wireless headphones, choose between three playlists and dance the night away! We’ll provide headphones that allow you to switch between the playlists. And you can cool off at the Friends of the Library’s “Chill Out” fundraiser: $5.00 ice cream sundaes being served 4-8 p.m. (or as long as supplies last) in the Garden Room!

Teen Paint & Journaling Night – June 29 at 5:30 pm (Ages 13-18)
Join us for a night of art-making paired with reflective or creative writing with Tia’s Art Studio. This event will blend literacy through journaling, and step-by-step painting instructions. Come to express yourself through art and writing!

One Up Games: Video Games & Mini-Golf – July 6 at 12:30pm (Ages 8 and Up)
Join us for our video game free-play event! Explore virtual worlds with the Oculus Quest, or play the latest titles on Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch! Or join us for our 9-hole mini-golf event, both hosted by Massachusetts eSport and gaming venue, One Up Games! Registration opens on Monday, June 15.

Escape the Room: Stargazer’s Manor – July 15 at 3pm (Ages 10-18)
Step into a thrilling adventure with Escape the Room: Stargazer’s Manor. Spend an exhilarating afternoon working together to unravel the mystery of the Stargazer’s Manor and save a renowned astronomer. You’ll find clues, solve puzzles, and unlock secrets to progress in the game. But be warned, this isn’t just a game – it’s a race against time. Once the doors have shut behind you, will you be able to solve the mystery and save the day before time runs out? Registration opens on Monday, June 15.

Pop-Up Art School: Felted Carnivorous Plants – July 20 at 11am (Ages 13-18)
Using colorful wool and a special barbed needle you will sculpt a fun green carnivorous plant complete with fangs and a bright red tongue, all rooted in a real terra-cotta pot. This playful needle felting project is a great introduction to a unique, tactile craft and results in a finished piece that’s equal parts quirky, cute, and display-worthy. Learn the joy of needle felting with Pop up Art School in a friendly environment. You’ll gain the basic skills of needle felting, walking away with a finished piece, and the confidence to continue your felting journey independently. Registration opens on Monday, June 15.

Living Literature TTRPG – July 27 at 2pm (Ages 12-18)
Join Mastermind Adventures to play a Dungeons and Dragons-like Table Top Role Playing Game (TTRPG). Come to Camp Mythos, inspired by world mythology and Percy Jackson–style adventures, where participants train as demigods, complete quests, interact with mythic characters, and uncover ancient secrets. Participants are sorted into teams representing different mythological pantheons (Greek, Roman, Egyptian, or Norse), where they’ll work together to complete challenges, solve riddles, interact with mythic characters, and uncover ancient mysteries. From training in combat to deciphering ancient prophecies, every activity is designed to immerse participants in a world where they’re the heroes of their own epic tale. Registration opens on Monday, June 15.

StoriesLive Workshop – July 28 at 12pm (Ages 12 and Up)
Because you have a life, you have a story. This workshop teaches participants how to develop a personal narrative through the art of storytelling: they will listen to a professional storyteller model storytelling skills and then are led through a series of powerful exercises, which enable them to create first-person narratives on themes that are aligned with College Common Application essay prompts. Participants will also learn valuable presentation skills and engage in narrative forms as “authors,” and these stories and skills are of practical use in college application essays, college interviews, and job interviews. Registration opens on Monday, June 15.

Reverse Tie-Dye – August 7 at 1pm (Ages 13-18)
Using up cycled fabric destined for landfill and hand cut stencils we will create “reverse tie-dye” scarves. Dress for mess. Registration opens on Monday, July 15.

End-of-Summer Carnival – August 14 at 10 am (All ages)
No registration required – As the summer winds down and we wrap up our roster of summer programs, we’d like to celebrate with you! Bring your kids to enjoy games, treats, and all sorts of fun. No registration required.
