We’re Hosting a Human Library
We are excited to host a Human Library (anticipated Spring 2027), and we are currently looking for community members who are interested in sharing their experiences as one of our “books.”
In a Human Library, people are the books. Instead of checking out a traditional book, participants have the opportunity to have a conversation with someone whose life experiences, background, or perspective may be different from their own. Our goal is to create opportunities for curiosity, connection, and understanding to celebrate the many experiences that make up our community.
We welcome anyone who is interested in participating to fill out the form below. We will consider every application we receive, but we are especially interested in finding people who would like to share experiences related to:
· Working in an unusual or unexpected profession
· Living with or navigating a disability
· Being part of a particular cultural community
· Speaking another language or growing up multilingual
· Working as a first responder
· Experiencing or witnessing a significant historical event
· Experiencing homelessness or being unhoused
· Being a caregiver
We’re looking for people who are willing to share their experiences and have open, respectful conversations with your fellow members of the community.
