Track Your Minutes Read Here

Timer going into a basketball hoop with the words Minute Madness: A Reading Competition Between Libraries to its left

Who’s ready to get some reading done in March! Catch up on your reading goals for the year, read those magazines that are piling up (literally or digitally) or try something new.

Starting March 1st All Ages at the Nevins Library will be competing against other local libraries in the First Round scramble of “Minute Madness”.

So, as you read books or read books to someone (in any language), graphic novels, fanfiction, magazines, newspapers, or listen to audiobooks in March, keep track of how long (hours or minutes) you’ve read.

Then, go to our new program called READSquared to log your minutes. Just make sure that you’ve logged all the time you’ve read for the first round by the Noon on March 7th. It’s as easy as that. Need help logging in or making an account. Here’s a guide to getting started with READSquared.

Also, don’t worry, if the computer/phone/tablet isn’t your thing, we will have plenty of minute logging sheets at the Main Desk that you can fill out with your minutes spent reading and return before March 7th.

We’ll also keep you updated via the website and social media if we’ve made it to Round 2, when the top 16 libraries will go against each other. It will run from March 7- 14.

Round 3, will run from March 14- 21

Round 4, the “Fierce Four” will run from March March 21- 28.

And the Championship will happen between March 28 – April 4.

Good luck to all the competing libraries, but, mostly.

Go Methuen! Go Rangers!!
